Lips
Lip Tattoo is a fully customizable semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo designed to enhance the lips in both color and shape. This service can be tailored to achieve a soft Lip Brush (Lip Blush) effect for a natural, sheer tint, or a more bold and defined finish for clients who prefer a richer, lipstick-inspired look.
Using advanced techniques and carefully selected pigments, the treatment enhances lip symmetry, improves uneven tone, and restores vibrancy while maintaining a refined appearance. During your consultation, colour intensity, undertone, and overall style are personalized to suit your facial features, natural lip colour, and desired outcome, ensuring results that range from subtle and natural to more pronounced and statement-making.
Who is a candidate for a lip tattoo?

- Want consistent lip color throughout the day
- Desire enhanced lip shape and symmetry
This treatment can be customized for natural or bold outcomes depending on preference.

- Lip Mapping – Careful outlining to enhance and balance the natural lip shape

- Pigment Application – Pigment is implanted evenly for full lip coverage

Before your lip tattoo appointment
To ensure safe healing and optimal results, please follow these guidelines:
- Stay well hydrated for several days prior to your appointment
- Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications 24 hours before treatment
- Gently exfoliate lips 2–3 days prior (avoid aggressive exfoliation)
- Avoid lip fillers for at least 4 weeks before treatment
- Antiviral medication is required prior to all lip tattoo procedures. Lip tattooing can trigger cold sores even in clients with no prior history. Please consult your physician and begin antiviral medication as directed before your appointment.
Failure to follow pre-care instructions may result in compromised healing, pigment retention issues, or rescheduling of your appointment.
After care
Proper aftercare is essential for safe healing, pigment retention, and optimal results following your lip tattoo procedure.
- Continue antiviral medication exactly as prescribed by your physician. Antiviral medication must be taken throughout the aftercare period to reduce the risk of cold sore outbreaks, delayed healing, and pigment loss.
- Keep lips clean and moisturized as instructed
- Avoid touching, picking, or peeling any flaking skin
- Do not apply lipstick, lip gloss, or lip liner until fully healed
- Avoid spicy foods, alcohol, smoking, and hot beverages during healing
- Avoid sun exposure, tanning, and excessive heat until healing is complete
Failure to follow aftercare instructions, including completing the full course of antiviral medication, may result in complications and may affect final results.
Healing process & results
Immediately after the procedure, lips will appear brighter, more intense in color, and slightly swollen. This is normal. As healing progresses, the color will soften but remain more defined than Lip Blush results.
- Initial healing: 5–7 days
- Full healing: 6–8 weeks
- Results typically last 3–5 years, depending on lifestyle, skin type, and aftercare
A touch-up appointment may be required to perfect color and longevity.
Touch-up & Maintenance
A touch-up appointment is typically recommended 6–8 weeks after the initial session to refine color saturation and correct any uneven areas. Maintenance sessions every 3–5 years help maintain vibrancy and definition.
